I Need Volunteers in 126 Cities to Help Drive This Mission

I’m looking for volunteers in 126 cities across 33 countries on two continents to help with the local projects and afternoon events for:

“My Drive Around the Globe for Spinal Cord Research”

Think of it as this: one slightly stubborn bloke with a spinal cord injury, a heavily adapted van, a big dream… and you helping turn each stop into something unforgettable.

This journey has been five years in the making, powered by equal parts determination, caffeine, and sheer refusal to accept “nothing can be done.” As a Spinal Cord Injury Warrior, I’m taking this on to raise awareness and funds for spinal cord research – and to prove that disabled driving doesn’t mean small dreams, it just means smarter planning.

Over the course of this global drive, I’ll be rolling into your cities not just to rack up miles, but to:

• Shine a light on the real-life challenges faced by people with spinal cord injuries

• Champion the need for proper funding for spinal cord research

• Share stories of resilience, tech, adaptation, and slightly mad ideas that actually work

Where You Come In

As a volunteer, you’ll be the backbone of the local events (see what I did there? 😉):

• Helping with logistics and local coordination

• Welcoming and engaging attendees

• Supporting local project activities

• Helping amplify the message on social media and in your community

You don’t need medical knowledge, superhero powers, or a cape (though if you own one, I’m not judging). You just need:

• A bit of time

• A willingness to help

• And a belief that disabled lives deserve more than sympathy – they deserve progress

Every share, every conversation, every local event is a chance to turn “I’m so sorry” into “Let’s do something about this.”
